Pursuant to the authority granted to the office of the Mayor by Section 2.02(c) of the Jellico City Charter, there will be a special called meeting of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen on July 30, 2020 at 6:00 P.M. to be conducted by electronic means according to the Tennessee Governor's Executive Orders. The meeting will be open to the public.

The purpose of the meeting is for a public hearing and to conduct city business.

Beginning at 6:00 P.M. there will be a public hearing on:

  1. Amendments to the 2019-2020 budget ordinance(s).

  2. Budget and tax levy for the 2020-2021 budget.

  3. Historic Overlay District Ordinance.

Following the public hearing the council will adjourn into a regular meeting session.

Beginning at 6:30 P.M. the council will hold a regular monthly meeting for the following:

  1. Minutes of meetings June 18, 2020 and July 14, 2020.

  2. Claims against the city.

  3. Reports – Any reports from departments.

  4. Payroll for August and Septemeber, thru September 26, 2020.

  5. Ordinance- Budget and Tax Levy for FY 2020-2021.

  6. Ordinance – Amendment to 2019-2020 budget.

  7. Ordinance – Regulation of Shopping Carts.

  8. Authorization to advertise for pre-bid conference and take bids for repairs to Hill Street, Adams Lane, John Queener Lane, and Rairty Mountain Road – FEMA guidelines.

  9. Discussion of repairs to sanitation pickup truck.

  10. Repairs to Sanitation 2015 Freightliner transmission.


Jellico City Council meets in regular session on the 3rd Thursday each month at 7:30PM at City Hall.
